The MikroTik LHG XL 5 ax is a 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 outdoor CPE with an integrated 27 dBi directional grid antenna. Designed for long-distance wireless connections, it suits building-to-building links, remote-site connectivity, and WISP customer installations where running cable is impractical.

The integrated radio and antenna eliminate the need for external antenna cables, while the grid design reduces wind resistance. A Gigabit Ethernet port with passive PoE-in carries power and data through one cable, simplifying pole and rooftop installations. The package includes a power adapter, Gigabit PoE injector, and mounting accessories.

A dual-core ARM processor, 256 MB of RAM, and RouterOS v7 provide routing, traffic management, and wireless configuration capabilities, with WPA3 support for wireless security. MikroTik specifies potential links up to approximately 18.6 miles under ideal conditions. Actual range and performance depend on clear line of sight, antenna alignment, interference, weather, and permitted transmit power.
