Overview

The MikroTik S+RJ10 is a copper SFP+ module that adds an RJ45 Ethernet connection to a compatible SFP+ port. It supports six Ethernet speeds, from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps, allowing switches and routers to connect to copper-based network equipment using twisted-pair cabling.

The module supports 10G connections over Cat6/7 cabling at distances up to 30 meters. Lower-speed connections up to 5G support distances up to 100 meters with suitable Cat5e/6 cabling, making it useful for integrating devices with different Ethernet capabilities.

The S+RJ10 requires a compatible SFP+ port and adequate cooling. Devices with passive cooling may require additional airflow. Revision /r2 adds module temperature and supply-voltage monitoring, corrected link-speed reporting, and support for larger jumbo frames at selected speeds.
