Overview

The MikroTik GPERx6 (CSS606-1G-2Gi-3S+OUT) is an outdoor fiber switch that combines three 10G SFP+ ports, three Gigabit Ethernet ports, and flexible power distribution in a rugged IP66 enclosure. It supports remote network installations that need high-speed fiber connectivity alongside power for cameras, access points, and compatible IoT devices.

With a suitable hybrid fiber-and-copper cable, fiber strands carry data while copper conductors deliver DC power to the installation. The GPERx6 distributes connectivity through its SFP+ and Ethernet ports, with passive PoE-out on two Ethernet ports and three DC outputs for equipment that does not use PoE. This approach can simplify long-distance deployments by combining data and power into one cable route.

A dedicated Marvell switch chip and SwOS provide switching and management capabilities, while PoE-in and a DC jack offer flexible power-input options. Designed for outdoor temperatures from -40°C to +70°C, the GPERx6 suits perimeter surveillance, remote equipment sites, and outdoor fiber networks. Achievable distance and available power depend on the selected optics, cable conductors, supply voltage, and connected load.
