Overview

The MikroTik cAP ax is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 ceiling access point designed for offices, hotels, retail spaces, and other indoor environments with multiple wireless users. Its discreet ceiling-mounted design helps position the wireless radios above furniture and everyday obstructions while blending into the surrounding space.

A quad-core 1.8 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, and RouterOS v7 provide flexible network management, including firewall rules, VPN connectivity, and advanced routing. Dual-chain wireless on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz supports modern client devices, while WPA3 authentication and 802.11r roaming support secure connectivity and movement between compatible access points.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports, PoE-in, and passive PoE-out simplify installation and allow the access point to power a compatible downstream device within its voltage and current limits. CAPsMAN centralized management helps administrators configure and maintain multiple access points from a single management system.
