Product Information

Overview

The MikroTik PowerBox Pro (RB960PGS-PB) is an outdoor wired router with five Gigabit Ethernet ports, four PoE-out ports, and an SFP cage for fiber connectivity. Its compact, weatherproof enclosure makes it suitable for pole, tower, and other outdoor network installations.

Ethernet ports 2–5 deliver power to compatible PoE devices, helping reduce separate power adapters and cabling for outdoor radios, access points, and cameras. PoE output follows the voltage supplied to the router. The included 24V adapter supports compatible passive PoE devices; IEEE 802.3af/at Mode B devices require a separate 48–57V power source.

An 800 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM, and RouterOS Level 4 provide routing, firewall, VLAN, and traffic-management capabilities. The SFP port allows a compatible fiber connection to the upstream network. An SFP module is sold separately.

Ideal Applications

  • Outdoor PoE distribution for compatible wireless radios and access points
  • WISP tower and pole-mounted network installations
  • Outdoor camera networks with compatible PoE requirements
  • Fiber-connected outdoor network locations
  • Compact deployments requiring routing and PoE output in one enclosure

Highlights

Key Features

Five Gigabit Ethernet Ports

Connect outdoor network equipment through five 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, with passive PoE input on Ether1 and PoE output on Ether2–Ether5.

Four PoE-Out Ports

Power compatible devices directly from the router. Passive PoE output follows the input voltage, while IEEE 802.3af/at Mode B output requires a 48–57V power source.

SFP Fiber Connectivity

Add a compatible SFP module to connect the installation to a fiber network, extending connectivity beyond copper Ethernet cabling.

Weatherproof RouterOS Platform

A compact outdoor enclosure and fanless design support pole and tower installations, while RouterOS provides routing, firewall, VLAN, and traffic-management tools.
