The MikroTik RB5009UG+S+IN is a compact, high-performance router built for demanding home labs and network environments that need flexible Gigabit, 2.5 Gigabit, and 10 Gigabit connectivity. It combines seven Gigabit Ethernet ports, one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 10G SFP+ cage in a durable metallic enclosure.

Powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz ARM64 processor with 1 GB of DDR4 RAM and 1 GB of NAND storage, the RB5009 is designed to handle configurations with heavy CPU loads while maintaining an exceptionally compact footprint. A Marvell switch chip connects the Ethernet and SFP+ interfaces to the CPU through a 10 Gbps full-duplex link, while the enclosure itself acts as a large heat sink for efficient passive cooling.

Power the RB5009 through PoE-in, a DC jack, or the 2-pin terminal. Its compact design also allows up to four RB5009 routers to be installed in a single 1U rack space with the optional K-79 rackmount kit.
