Overview

The MikroTik CRS418-8P-8G-2S+5axQ2axQ-RM combines managed switching, PoE power delivery, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and RouterOS routing features in a single 1U rackmount device. It includes 16 Gigabit Ethernet access ports, a separate Gigabit management port with a direct CPU connection, and two 10G SFP+ uplinks for servers, storage, or core network connections.

Eight Ethernet ports provide IEEE 802.3af/at and 24V passive PoE output with a shared 150W power budget. Integrated 4×4 MIMO wireless operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, allowing compatible wired and wireless devices to connect through the same platform.

A quad-core 2.2 GHz ARM processor, 1 GB of RAM, and RouterOS v7 support VLANs, firewall rules, routing, traffic management, and CAPsMAN wireless management. Layer 3 hardware offloading is available for supported configurations. Dual redundant power supplies and USB 3.0 connectivity add flexibility for office networks, branch installations, and labs. Wireless coverage depends on antenna placement and the surrounding rack environment.
