Overview

The MikroTik CRS312-4C+8XG-RM is a 10 Gigabit Cloud Router Switch for networks handling large file transfers, shared storage, and demanding workstation traffic. It combines eight dedicated multi-gigabit RJ45 ports with four 10G RJ45/SFP+ combo ports, allowing copper and fiber connections in a single 1U rackmount device.

The eight dedicated Ethernet ports support 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G connections. Each of the four combo ports can use either its RJ45 connection or its SFP+ cage, providing up to twelve active 10G connections. Both connectors within an individual combo port cannot operate simultaneously.

Dual internal power supplies provide power redundancy, while RouterOS and SwOS dual-boot support lets administrators choose their preferred management environment. Use SwOS for focused switch management or RouterOS for additional routing and network configuration options. A separate 10/100 Ethernet port, RJ45 console port, and USB Type-A port provide additional connectivity and management options.
