Overview

The MikroTik CCR2004-16G-2S+ is a 1U rackmount Cloud Core Router that combines 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports with two 10G SFP+ uplinks. Designed for small and medium-sized business networks, it provides extensive wired connectivity and high-speed links to upstream equipment, servers, or aggregation switches.

A quad-core 1.7 GHz ARM 64-bit processor, 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, and RouterOS Level 6 support routing, firewall rules, VPN connections, and traffic management. The Gigabit Ethernet ports are divided between two switch chips, each with a dedicated 10 Gbps full-duplex connection to the CPU. Each SFP+ port also has its own dedicated 10 Gbps full-duplex CPU connection, with actual forwarding performance dependent on configuration and processing demands.

Built-in dual redundant AC power supplies help maintain operation if one power source fails. Active cooling, an RJ45 console port, and a USB 3.0 Type-A port support installation and administration in network closets and equipment racks.

Each eight-port Gigabit Ethernet group connects to the CPU through a dedicated 10 Gbps full-duplex link. Each SFP+ port has a separate 10 Gbps full-duplex CPU connection to support demanding network configurations.

Redundant Power in a 1U Enclosure

Two built-in AC power supplies provide power redundancy, while active cooling supports rack operation. An RJ45 console port and USB 3.0 Type-A port provide additional administration and connectivity options.
