Overview

The MikroTik CCR2004-16G-2S+PC is a passively cooled Cloud Core Router designed for offices, studios, home labs, and business networks that need extensive wired connectivity without cooling-fan noise. It combines 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports with two 10G SFP+ uplinks in a compact metal enclosure.

A quad-core 1.2 GHz ARM 64-bit processor, 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, and RouterOS v7 Level 6 provide flexible routing, firewall, VPN, and traffic-management capabilities. Each group of eight Gigabit Ethernet ports connects through a dedicated switch chip with a 10 Gbps full-duplex CPU connection. Each SFP+ port also has its own dedicated 10 Gbps full-duplex CPU connection, with actual forwarding performance dependent on configuration and processing demands.

Two DC power inputs, an RJ45 console port, and included rackmount hardware support flexible installation and administration. The fanless design makes this model particularly useful where network equipment operates near workspaces or recording areas.
