Overview

The MikroTik CRS518-16XS-2XQ-RM is a high-density switch designed for enterprise distribution, data center connectivity, and high-capacity aggregation. With 16 × 25G SFP28 ports and two 100G QSFP28 uplinks, it connects servers and downstream switches to high-speed network infrastructure in a compact 1U enclosure.

The Marvell Prestera Aldrin2 switch chip delivers 600 Gbps of throughput, 1.2 Tbps of switching capacity, and a forwarding rate of up to 600 Mpps. Support for Layer 3 hardware-offloaded routing allows supported routing workloads to run on the switch chip. The SFP28 ports also support compatible 10G and 1G devices, allowing existing connections to remain in service during network upgrades.

Dual redundant hot-swappable power supplies and hot-swappable cooling fans simplify maintenance and help reduce downtime. RouterOS v7 provides VLANs, access control lists, LACP, MLAG, and multicast management features for flexible network design and traffic control.
