Overview

The MikroTik FTC21-ups is a smart IP67 weatherproof fiber-to-copper converter with built-in battery backup for network edge deployments where reliable connectivity and power resilience matter. It combines a 2.5G-capable SFP port with two Gigabit Ethernet ports, 802.3af/at PoE-in, and selectable 24V or 48V passive PoE-out.

Unlike a basic media converter, the FTC21-ups runs SwOS Lite for network monitoring and management and includes two integrated Li-Ion batteries. During short outages, brownouts, or voltage drops, the batteries help keep the link active to prevent unnecessary renegotiations and device reboots. Its IP67-rated enclosure makes it well suited for outdoor fiber conversion, CCTV networks, and other remote edge installations.
