The TP-POE-48-WP is a low cost Passive PoE inserter/injector compatible with a wide variety of passive PoE powered devices. It is a midspan device, meaning there is a data-in port and an output port with data and power. The RJ56 connectors are shielded so that the CAT5 cable shielding path is not interrupted between the data source (computer, router or switch) and the device being supplied with PoE power.
