Full Time Accountant

We are looking for candidates with extraordinary organization skills and eagle eyes for detail for an immediate opening in our Accounting & Payroll Department. A successful candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting, payroll, and HR administration. Distribution or manufacturing industry, a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of general accounting experience
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office required
  • QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of clerical accuracy
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and with a high degree of judgment
  • Be adaptable to changes in work assignments or procedures

Responsibilities:

This position will have both recurring responsibilities and special projects. Responsibilities may increase as experience is gained.

  • Positively communicate with customers and the Sales Department via phone, email and Microsoft Teams regarding collections, credit limit revocations, credit limit increases, trade references, account statements
  • Support all accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Various data entry functions such as customer and vendor invoices, credit card receipts into QuickBooks
  • Detail review vendor invoices, including verifying appropriate pricing, and match invoices with packing slips and freight quotes
  • Sales tax exemption certificate verification and data entry into sales tax processor website. Avalara experience a plus
  • Payroll functions such as timekeeping, payroll, and FSA account administration
  • Various ad hoc and special projects

Full-Time Warehouse - Shipping & Receiving Specialist (Lisle)

Growing distributor of network/telecommunication equipment seeking a full-time day-shift Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Specialist covering various shipping, receiving and warehouse functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pick product by order from various stocking locations utilizing product SKUs/UPCs
  • Quality control check orders pick by other specialists, verifying required items from packing list prior to packing for shipment
  • Pack orders with understanding of required box sizing and packing material requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while upholding the company productivity and safety standards
  • Assist with unloading of inbound ocean shipping containers & freight shipments
  • Ensure inbound shipments are accounted for based on inbound packing list
  • Stock inventory in designated locations within the company's allocated stocking timeframe
  • Assist with semi-annual physical inventory counts
  • Product assembly & packaging for sale to end-user

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages up to 80 lbs
  • Establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with other employees
  • Awareness of safety programs in the workspace

Technical Skills:

  • General computer competency, including eMail and Internet
  • All other training provided

Compensation:

  • $15.00/hour
